How to use ZIP Files Separately
- 1Drop the files you want to zip, or click Add a folder to include folders.
- 2Choose how to group them: One ZIP per file, One ZIP per folder, or Split into ZIP parts by size (enter the maximum MB per ZIP).
- 3Click Create ZIPs and wait for the progress bar to finish.

When separate ZIPs are useful
- Email attachments: Gmail allows 25 MB and Outlook 20 MB per message. Split by size gives you ZIPs that each fit, ready to send in separate emails.
- Uploads that need one ZIP per item: some app stores, game mod sites, learning platforms and print shops want each submission zipped on its own.
- Sharing by folder: zip each client, project or photo album folder separately in one step.
How splitting by size works
Files are packed into ZIPs in order, starting a new ZIP whenever the next file would push it over your limit. A small margin is left for ZIP headers. Each ZIP is a normal, complete archive that opens on its own, unlike split archives (.z01, .z02) that need every part.
A single file that is larger than the limit cannot be divided, so it gets its own ZIP and the tool tells you.
Privacy and limits
All ZIPs are created in your browser and your files are not uploaded. Files are compressed with standard ZIP (Deflate) compression. Very large batches depend on your device's memory, so for many GB of video a desktop computer works best.
