Good uses for HEIC to PDF

  • Receipts and expense reports: photograph receipts with your iPhone and send them as one PDF.
  • Signed forms and contracts: photos of each page become a multi-page document in the right order.
  • Homework and notes: teachers and portals often accept only PDF.
  • Applications: ID cards, certificates and other documents that must be submitted as PDF.

Page size and quality options

A4 and US Letter give a document that prints cleanly; each photo is scaled to fit inside the margins and centered. Same as photo makes every page exactly the shape of its photo, which suits photo albums. Orientation can follow each photo automatically or be fixed to portrait or landscape.

High quality keeps the full resolution and saves each photo as a 92% JPG inside the PDF. Smaller PDF limits photos to 2000 pixels and 75% quality, which usually keeps a 10 page PDF under a few megabytes, handy for email attachments and upload limits.

Privacy

Your photos are decoded and placed into the PDF by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and GPS location from the photos is not copied into the PDF. Need to combine other image types? Use Image to PDF, and to shrink an existing PDF try Compress PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put several HEIC photos into one PDF?

Yes. Add all of them, arrange the order with the arrows or Sort by name, and keep One combined PDF selected. Each photo becomes one page.

Can I make a separate PDF for each photo?

Yes. Choose One PDF per file and you get a ZIP with one PDF named after each photo.

My photo is sideways in the PDF. How do I fix it?

Photos are placed upright using the rotation saved by the camera. If one still looks wrong, use the rotate buttons next to it before clicking Create PDF.

How do I make the PDF smaller?

Choose Smaller PDF under Image quality. Photos are reduced to 2000 pixels on the long side and saved at 75% quality, which is still sharp for reading on screen and printing documents.

Is the text in the PDF searchable?

No. Each page is an image of the photo. To pull text out of a photo, use Image to Text (OCR).
