Text or logo
Text watermarks use bold standard fonts in any color. For logos, a PNG with a transparent background looks best; JPG, WebP and GIF also work. The image width is set as a percentage of the page, so it scales properly on pages of different sizes.
Tiled watermarks
Tile across page repeats the mark in a staggered pattern over the whole page. It is much harder to crop out than a single stamp, which makes it a good choice for documents such as ID copies sent to landlords or employers. The preview is rendered from the real output so what you see is what you get.
Be realistic about protection
A watermark is drawn on top of the page content. It discourages misuse and shows where a copy came from, but someone with a PDF editor could remove it. For confidential files, also use Protect PDF. Text watermarks support Latin characters only. Everything happens in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add a watermark to only some pages?
Yes. Type pages such as 1, 3-5 in the Pages box. Leave it empty for all pages.
How do I make a diagonal watermark?
Set the angle to 45 degrees (the default) and choose the center position or Tile across page.
Can I use my company logo?
Yes. Choose Image or logo and pick a PNG or JPG. Transparent PNGs blend best.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is part of the PDF but sits on top of the content, so someone with editing software could remove it. Tiling makes that harder.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The PDF and the logo stay in your browser.
