How to use ZIP Images to PDF

  1. 1Drop a ZIP file that contains images. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP files are picked up from every folder.
  2. 2Check the thumbnails. Images are sorted by name in natural order (1, 2, 10). Use the arrows to move a page, the X to remove one, or change the Order menu.
  3. 3Choose a page size (Same as image, A4 or US Letter) and a margin.
  4. 4Click Create PDF, then Download PDF. Use Change pages to go back and adjust.

Page order that makes sense

Scanners and phones often name files like scan1.jpg, scan2.jpg ... scan10.jpg. A plain alphabetical sort would put scan10 before scan2. This tool uses natural sorting, so pages come out in the order you expect. You can still reverse the order, use the original order from the ZIP, or move single pages by hand.

Page size options

  • Same as image makes each page exactly the size of its image, with no white borders. Good for screenshots, comics and photos.
  • A4 or US Letter fits each image on a standard page, centered, and turns the page sideways for landscape images. Good for documents you want to print or submit.

JPG and PNG images are placed in the PDF without re-compression, so quality stays the same. WebP, GIF and BMP images are converted first. Images larger than 4000 pixels are scaled down to keep the PDF a reasonable size.

Privacy and limits

The ZIP is opened and the PDF is built in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Up to 300 images per ZIP are loaded. Password-protected ZIPs need to be unlocked with the Unzip tool first. Very large photo sets depend on your device's memory.

Frequently asked questions

How are the images ordered in the PDF?

By file name in natural order, so 2 comes before 10. You can reverse it, use the ZIP's own order, or move pages with the arrow buttons.

Will the image quality be reduced?

JPG and PNG images are embedded as they are. Only other formats and images over 4000 pixels are converted or resized.

Can I use images in subfolders?

Yes. Images from all folders in the ZIP are included. Mac system files such as __MACOSX are ignored.

Can I make an A4 PDF from photos?

Yes. Choose A4 as the page size. Each photo is centered and scaled to fit the page, and landscape photos get landscape pages.
