How to use Image to PDF
- 1Drop your images into the box. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and GIF all work.
- 2Drag the thumbnails to reorder them, or use the arrows. Rotate or remove any page, or click Sort by name.
- 3Choose page size, orientation, margins and image quality.
- 4Click Create PDF, then Download PDF.
Page size and layout
Choose A4, US Letter, Legal or A3 for documents you will print or submit, or Same as image to make each page exactly fit its picture. With Auto orientation each page turns landscape for wide images and portrait for tall ones, so nothing is shrunk more than needed. Images are centered and scaled to fit inside the margin you pick.
Quality and file size
Original places JPG and PNG files into the PDF byte for byte, so there is no quality loss at all. Phone photos are turned upright using the rotation stored in the photo. Other formats such as WebP and HEIC are converted at high quality.
Choose Smaller PDF when the file must fit an email or upload limit. Images are resized to at most 2000 pixels and saved as JPG at 75 percent, which often cuts the PDF size by 80 percent or more for phone photos.
Common uses and limits
- Combine photographed receipts or homework pages into one file.
- Turn screenshots into a PDF to share or print.
- Submit ID or document scans to forms that only accept PDF.
- Everything runs in your browser. Hundreds of large photos depend on your device memory.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change the order of pages?
Drag the thumbnails into the order you want, or use the left and right arrows under each one. Sort by name puts them in file name order.
Why is my photo sideways in other converters but not here?
Phones store rotation as a tag instead of rotating the pixels. This tool reads that tag and places the photo upright. You can also rotate any page yourself.
Can I make the PDF smaller?
Yes. Set Image quality to Smaller PDF. It resizes large photos and compresses them as JPG.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos to PDF?
Yes. HEIC photos are decoded on your device and added like any other image.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The PDF is built in your browser and your images never leave your device.
