How to use QR Code Generator
- 1Choose a type at the top: URL, Text, Wi-Fi, Contact, Email, Phone or SMS, and fill in the fields. The preview updates as you type.
- 2Under Design, pick the code and background colors (or a transparent background), the error correction level and the quiet zone.
- 3Click Add a logo to place your logo in the center. Error correction switches to High so the code still scans.
- 4Set the PNG size, then download PNG or SVG, or click Copy image. Scan it with your phone before printing.
Static codes that never expire
Many QR sites create "dynamic" codes that send people through their own short link, then stop working when a free trial ends. The codes made here are static: your link, Wi-Fi details or contact card are stored directly in the pattern. They work forever, need no account, and nobody can track the scans. The trade-off is that you cannot change the destination after printing, so double-check it.
Wi-Fi, contacts and more
- Wi-Fi: guests scan the code with their camera and join without typing the password. Supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, open and hidden networks.
- Contact: creates a vCard so a scan adds your name, phone, email, company and website to the address book.
- Email, Phone and SMS: open a pre-filled email, a call, or a text message.
Printing tips
Use SVG for print: it is a vector file that stays sharp at any size. Keep dark code on a light background with strong contrast; the tool warns you when colors are too similar or inverted. Leave the quiet zone at 2 or more, and print codes at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, larger when people scan from a distance. Everything is generated in your browser, including the logo.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static codes with your data stored directly in the pattern, so they keep working as long as the link or details are valid.
How do I make a QR code for Wi-Fi?
Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, pick the security type, and download the code. Phones join the network when they scan it.
Can I add my logo to a QR code?
Yes. Click Add a logo. The logo is placed in the center and error correction is set to High so the code still scans.
PNG or SVG: which should I download?
SVG for printing and design tools because it scales without blurring; PNG for websites, documents and messages.
Can colored QR codes be scanned?
Yes, if the code is darker than the background and the contrast is strong. Light codes on dark backgrounds fail on some scanners.
